Good Morning all.

How long do they let their wine age before they put it on the table? I look for wine that is at least four years old.

They are using kits that speeds up the process.....6 weeks. It certainly is no Stag's Leap or Estencia wine, but it was good and they run about 12-14% alcohol.

What's the brand name? and what wines, reds or whites?

No brand name.....they only sell at their location. They do all of them. Cab, Merlot, Riesling, Chardonnay....no red Zin which I enjoy.

Almost 2 feet of snow has fallen in western New York and more is coming along the southern shore of Lake Erie from Cleveland, Ohio, to Buffalo, the National Weather Service said Monday.

We are supposed to get snow today and tomorrow, maybe 6 inches. Been falling off and on all day but nothing has stuck yet. Just north of Syracuse ended up getting a foot or so but it pretty much always snows there. Couple years ago they got 12 feet in a 2 days!

Oh and she might have finally gotten a job. She was visiting a friend who is a tattoo artist and the owner of the place was complaining about the girl they had answering the phones and my kid says "well ... I know how to talk on a phone" The owner thought that was funny and started askin her about her prior work experience and was semi impressed so he told her to come back after Thanksgiving break and he'd see what he could do. Did I tell you guys the kid called the other night to tell me she decided she was going to take a semester off so she could work full time and save up some money? I said "Noooooooo. #1 as soon as you take off all your student loans become due so its not going to save you any money and #2 its not your job to worry about paying it, its mine so why the sudden concern" She said "well my mom gave up the house she loves so I can go to college so I want to do what I can" Ahhhh aint that sweet .. but I told her to knock it the F off cuz I actually like the smaller house .. that I'd probably be depressed in that big house by myself so just deal with the grades ......

Sooooooo..... Daughter just called all wound up. She just found out shes got a 96.57% in one of her classes that she thought she had a B in:D Pretty cool. Makes it a lot easier to pay when shes doin so good. :cool:

Hehe .... The old house had one garage stall when we moved in ... it was attached ...but you had to go outside to get to it. So I ripped a hole in a wall, put in a door and some steps ... wasnt that difficult or expensive and made the thing way more user friendly. Was even better when we added the other two stalls. You know .... I really dont miss the house like I thought I would but I do miss the garage. :blush5:

Nice! 27 degrees this AM when I came to work- at least my truck was warm when I got in it!

I drive 7 miles, get in my company car (no remote start- wtf!) and then drive 8 more miles, stay there about 2 hours depending on how hungry I get and then drive 8 miles futher for about 4 hours and then 15 miles back to drop off my company car and 7 miles home. 5 cold seats a day!

I should look at it that I am fortunate to have a good job where many others are hurting but doesn't make getting up any easier.

BBB- how long you stay down south for? What do you do with the horses?

Last day for me and then 4 days off!

I get to wait for the Comcast guy tomorrow- doubled my bill when the promotion expired so canceled and re-started. Cost me $50 for him to come out, saves me $75/month so kind of a no brainer but the cable people still don't get it. I told them bill me the $50 and he doesn't even have to come but they wouldn't do it. So my bill drops $75 to add a dialtone line and free Starz (any thing short of skin-0-max is worthless).

$75 x 12 months - $50 trip charge = 1 tank of boat fuel- thanks Comcast!!!

So ... that was no fun. Left at noon to go get the kid .... didnt even make it to Lodi (45 minutes) til I was in snow .... which would have been no big deal but it was there that I discovered my window washer fluid dispenser thingies didnt work. Figured I was just out of fluid but no .... after I bought a thing of fluid I discovered the fluid holder was full. Great. 3hrs there ... 3hrs back ... dirty windshield. Had to keep stopping at gas stations to clean it.

So then ... it was really snowin on the way back .... went sliding once... and while that sounds like it could have been fun ... it wasnt.

Celebrated gettin home with a bacon pizza from our local burnout place. Now THAT makes me smile :) Oh ya ... and seein the kid :D

iTunes had an update released 11/21 v2.2. Buzz online is NOT to install it- lot of apps not working with it so give them a week or so to get the updates out.

I dropped my car off yesterday morning because my windshield washer fluid wasn't working. It was the pump.....and $116 later, I can once again see!



I can hear my pump tryin to pump... could you hear your pump tryin to pump? I think there is ice in it. The fluid thingy looks a little icy as apposed to clear blue. Not quite slushy but maybe. Altho ... I would have thought if it was ice in the line the heat from the engine would have melted it. I might check it out today ... or tomorrow ... tomorrow is supposed to be warmer than today. 42 tomorrow :D

We are heading to Rob's moms Wednesday afternoon. She lives near Youngstown so we'll spend the night there, have Thanksgiving dinner and head back home early Thanksgiving evening.

The rest of the weekend not too much going on. Might do some Christmas shopping Saturday (not on Black Friday) or Sunday to get started. Will be cutting back this Christmas for certain.

Going to the GF's super religious uncle's house for Turkey. No TV, home schooled, live on a farm raising own food, etc.

The land they live on is worth $8-$10M. Rich people that don't know they are rich or what to do with it- drives me nuts! I would have sold the whole ball of wax about 5 years ago and in 15-20 mins would be banging on BBB's door looking for mimosas and brown sugar cinnamon frosted pop tarts!

Look for the positive- Christmas should go back to being less materialistic anyway so that is a positive of this economy. (just a comment; not directed at you Chief. You just brought up Christmas so made me think about it).

Ive gotten to deal with the State, an appraiser who thinks we should do their job for them, ran the daughter to an eye appointment then a doctors appointment (have to do these things when she's home) .... but the biggest pima today was an attorney. Gave me a search but no info so when I called to double check something his answer was condescending. So my reply was smart ass. He called back a minute later and apologized :D Oh and its cold and rainy ... just like a bad monday should be :sifone:

Hello, been out of touch lately, been chained to work, sales are down so I have to fill out detailed call reports daily to account for my time, they would never consider that sales are down because we just had a 5.5% price increase and that is after the 3.5% one we had in Feb, plus we have always been the most expensive company and most of my competitors have not taken a price increase in over a year. It sure takes the fun out of prospecting when you are always told you are more expensive then all the other companies.

Jay, I cancelled the trip to Florida so I will not meet you at the Thanksgiving day run, since Ian is working at GM we are not spending any money on vacations, and except for my niece no one is getting a Christmas gift. With no family nearby Ian and I were all set to have our traditional King Crab legs for Thanksgiving, but then he bought a pallet of compressor pumps on ebay for $35.00, he has to pick them up in Nashville TN on Friday, so he will be spending all day Thursday driving down there, lucky thing his sister lives there so he has free place to stay and a turkey dinner to eat. To earn some extra income he has been purchasing odd compressor tanks and parts by the time he finishes painting them and rebuilding them they look brand new. He has been selling them on Craigs list, seems like every guy in MI wants a larger compressor, so they sell fairly quickly.
