Really, thats sucks.. heck the story seems like it was just in Powerboat.. Was he going to re-rig it again or was he looking to sell??

I'm trying to find every possible SVL out there no matter what condition they are in.

I also want to find every potential Stock Outboard out there in any condition.

Then Super Vee (OPA Bravo Rules).

As far a Super Cat Light, I'm not sure that's an entry level class. What do you guys think????? There are a couple for around $200,000 or so out there currently.

are you just doing it to do it, our you going to post a thread, in, for sale? or:USA: buy one ?

I talked to Kevin the other day. He said the NXT is gone, and ready to put a bravo back on. Not sure if he still has the 525? Said it was for sale $$$? or going back as a P class boat.

Or maybe all of the above ?????

I learned long ago never to be in a rush when it comes to a large investment, or long-term commitment. (Was 40 when I got engaged:sifone:) First you find them, then you review and narrow, then you think, then you act.....:)

Not sure.. but with a bullet proof NXT drive and 525hp (running 92.1mph) It would be a great low maintenance SVL Boat.

Yes that is true about it being bullet proff and low maintenance. Only thing is that like most all of you know, the NXT doesn't perform that well in a single engine setup... It's better off with a bravo/Imco.
But like stated above by Dunbar, the NXT is gone and ready to put a bravo back on it... The boat is pretty much a bare hul as of right now.

If anybody is seriously interested, give Lavey a call or PM me.

thank you jr, we would love to have that boat back on our svl circut..:USA:

Kevin always said it was a better handling boat with the bravo and faster, All i seem to remember about that boat goes something like this. Wide open....chine, chine, pull back,.......wide open, chine, chine, pull back,......wide open, chine, chine pull back. Its a cool looking boat and as i remember the insides are nice, but It would be needing some homework to make it run right. Maybe it's a good deal, on a bare boat. let me know.

Maybe it needs a faster helm. I have found a normal helm in a few boats will not allow you to give the snap input needed to balance it.

Did Kevin drive or throttle?

Duo-prop will fix it right up. Powerboat did two tests on that boat. The latest in February of this year I think. I'm sure I have it...

Fast V boats need to be balanced by the driver . They don't go straight on there own.

Chine walk or not to chine walk is a discussion of its own.

Yes, the boat is a lot better handling with the bravo. With the NXT it did have a bit of handling issues...
Also, since the boat was originaly built it has recieved slight bottom modifications to improve it's overall handling. Due to the racing, Lavey was able to further test it's bottoms and improve it's product. These changes have been taken into the production on their 2750, 28 SVL/EVO, 29, and 32...

We must have gone to different schools together... Because that sounds alot like me!!

You ought to make a list of all the boats you find... I don't understand why people that have raceboats for sale keep them a secret, (usually there is someone that knows the person and they will put you in contact with the owner if you want info.) Just put an ad on here, (heck there is even a special section for race boats in the classifieds) what is so hard about that???
