I've found something else for a "toy" car, so I need to sell my Vette. What is the best website/place to do that??
Thanks in advance,
Craig

03-22-2009 10:19 AMThis is what I'm lookin at to replace the Vette.
Momma's cool with it (She just doesn't care)....but she laid down one rule on me, one goes before the other is bought!

No thank you.
I mean you may be cute and all, but that's a little, um, gay...
Craig, I've had pretty good luck going the E-bay route with a BMW, a Harley, and a Truck.
Set your auction so that it will end around 11:00pm on a Sat.
You'll get people in the last minutes that are half in the bag bidding it up.

I thought that was the Red Dragon up at Mike's place there. Then Ted thought he saw you and Kenny looking at the car. Is it nice? Looks good but been for sale for a while now.

03-22-2009 05:01 PMI've had the best luck selling bigger tickets items on Craig's List. I sold two four wheelers, two bikes, and three boats on there. I've had no luck selling anything like that on Ebay.

LMAO. I don't know who's red vette (74-75-76???) that is. It's been up there at Mike's place off and on for the last year or so. Not my car!!....but I get a bunch of phone calls each time that it's there asking me why I'm selling it!
Brian,
Mine's a '72. Last year for the chrome front and rear bumpers. It's just a driver. Not original engine (it was a low HP 350 car from the factory), but it has a 425HP 406ci small-block in it with about 6000 miles now. Runs great and it is scary fast. Frame off restoration. Everything is new, including gas and brake lines, gas tank, body mounts, suspension, shocks, interior (new seats, carpet) etc... Turbo 400 worked, new rear and half shafts.....Blah, blah, blah, it's still just a driver! It looks great from 10 feet away, but it can be picked apart up close. The body and paint are the only thing that hasn't been replaced. There's really no place here for a classified yet and it's against the rules that we've made to push it, so PM me if you are interested and I'll call you with all of the details.
I bought this car thinking that I would drive it often, but that hasn't happened. I drove it to OC for the car show once and into DC to work a few times, but mostly I drive it up to the local bar and to the knights of columbus for the Thursday night car show a couple times a month. Never gotten wet since I've had it. I want something bad azz with tubbs, plain and simple!!!!Last edited by OldSchool; 03-22-2009 at 07:21 PM.

We would have talked about this at the bar, Craig. They are interesting cars. Thanks for sharing.

Autotrader, Craigs list, Ebay are all good online sites. You can also jump on some of the corvette forums like OSO and SOS. Another approach is to take it to the local car cruize and slap a for sale sign in the window or let one of the local corvette clubs know your selling it. If I didnt already have one, I might have been tempted to make an offer on yours. Although its a bit tight, Ive always liked the older ones like yours.
