I would assume the price in in Euro's witch is approx 165k usd. Seems like a good price for a new race ready boat.Cost is 65k for bare boat, 120 fully rigged with choice of new engines or you can supply your own gear and we will rig it, she is lightweight epoxy with high density foam bulkheads

Do you get the rest of the tunnel for that price?
And more importantly, is it Xcat safety legal now?

The tunnel does look a little funky. Who makes it and has it won?

02-08-2010 03:00 PMI really like the aft portion of the canopy . Kinda fits in with what I was asking about in the "safety pod " thread .
Thanx for posting these pics .

No idea, I think its being built now.. It's from one of those Euro sites and what caught my eye was the price.

I would assume that boat needs a lot of work to meet the new requirements.

02-08-2010 03:55 PMI'd presume that a streamlined leading edge will be fitted and bonded to the tunnel front before it's finished as is indicative by the recessed bonding lines top and bottom.

If they are doing work after those pics, then possibly, but in those pics it has some work needed.
Obviously it still needs the roll cage, the windscreen recess redone to accept a mask, the double flange lip on the cockpit hatch and sounds like it still needs all the crash bulkhead panels installed.
A new boat has to meet the most restrictive standards, sounds like they got caught with some bad timing building that boat this off season.

This looks to be the same as Ian Blacker's king Fisher which finished 2nd to Fazza in last year class 3 worlds in Italy. Built in the Uk.... from all new tooling.....

No, it is based off of a scaled down Class 1 design.
