You're not really surprised.....are you?

Omnipotent
In a country where over 50% of the population relies on the system to survive....you're not surprised by the outcome....are you?

Changes only happen when they have to. Support the system....make it crash. Buy a brand new boat...the most expensive one you can get financed on. Then do the same with a house...and a business...and a car....and another boat. Then default on them all. Your efforts today will help ensure an honorable future for my kids tomorrow. Crash the system!!

As a nation...we are f*cked. Watch the ass end fall out of construction..:banghead:

I delayed hiring. I had a good couple years and was going to add 20% more staff.
With no IRA charitable rollover this fall, and the upcoming tax increases, it will be a bad end of year.
I will not be hiring. It would be irresponsible.

I think the recovery is over. I believe that business, like stocks, over-reacts to both positives and negatives in the economic future. In the businesses I was overseeing, when Obama was in the running, we built a contingency plan as soon as it looked as if he had a chance (especially with the democratic controlled house and senate). As soon as he was declared the winner, that plan was implemented. Most companies also had similar plans (many over-reacted). So, hiring was frozen, capital spending was put on hold, etc, etc. The Obama recession did not start on the day he was sworn in, it started on the day he won the election. The decline stopped, and the so-called recovery slim as it is, started on the day the house was won over by the republicans so the anti-American agenda could be slowed.

We are in for one heck of a mess. Our only hope is the house to stop the crazy stuff, and then the senate in 2014 to change over because people actually get sick of watching their net worth decline.

I took an executive financial analysis class over the summer. (Yeah, super fun)

One of the things that we measured and projected was the recession/recovery cycle.

We all fully realized that we were in the peak of the recovery and the next recession was due in June 2013.

Well if we go back to more of a recession my company may not recover, I depend on new construction. The last 4 years have been a strain, I've focused on getting rid of all debts, for the last 4 years

I own a first-tier manufacturing company that traditionally hits the brakes prior to the rest of the economy, and also is one of the first to see any recovery. As of yesterday, I backed my shop off to 36 hour weeks for the first time since 2008, and might have to go to 32 hour weeks. The decline in orders in the past two WEEKS is shocking...orders have been down 50-60% per day. Its crazy. And I'm freaking out...first time I've ever had to deal with something like this from the executive side of the desk...

Can you make anything to help "green" energy? (Or assist with shutting down Petro plants?)

It is not going to be pretty, I am very concerned. But, he is certainly following the communist manifesto plan to collapse the economy and nationlize the entire economy. For yourseld, it would make sense. Two to three weeks ago was when businesses started to be concerned he may win re-election. Until then, after the first debate especially, the thought was there were enough intelligent people to offset the idiot vote I think.
