Supercharging an Ilmor—Don't

Thanks, Sea-Dated. You guys provide an endless flow of good questions, which lead to story, column and "blog" ideas.

Paul Ray of Ilmor is a gentleman and as honest as they come, so I take him at his word. Plus, he has no reason to steer away people who want more power from supercharging their Ilmor engines. It's not as if Ilmor has "big-power" engines in its line to protect. And from what Ray has told me many times, the company has no plans to invest in big-power engines at this time given the current market.

But like most of you, I am looking forward to the day that changes.
