It need a lot more than power.

They still seem to be asking a lot for it considering what's left.......

They are smoking crack with that price. It would be easier and cleaner to pop a new hull wouldn't it?
Whoo hoo. Six 28-year old fuel tanks just what I want.

Besides, we are the chances that a "1988" Apache 41 was popped in 1986 or 1987 and underwent extensive pre-hull ID nighttime sea trials?

Oh, for those who didn't see the ad, they want $33,000 and it is in much worse shape than a blank hull.
And you get to haul it away. What a deal. I realize that with Yves and twin 1,000s in it, offshore of South Beach, it was once amazing.
But it's not the same boat.

Still not as bad as the guy with a blank hull and deck 42 Comanche for $250,000.

I guess the Allex Vite video is good too.

If somebody wants to dump $30k for the boat, what $15k for a trailer, $40k for paint, $6k in new tanks, $100,000 for power, $20,000 for rigging, $30,000 for drives, $20k for an interior, and they rig the entire thing themselves they will only be in around 250.

Hope somebody does it, actually. I just don't see it and it sucks to see it that bad.

Ok. I have come full circle. You'd be hard pressed to get your blank to turn out as well as that proven hull.
It's worth $250k finished I guess.

I either didn't hear or forgot that a gentleman lost his life riding on that boat. They truly will take more than the occupants can.

Would that be an issue for anybody? Might be a deal breaker for me. Would think about it a lot. I also think if I lost a friend on my boat I would probably never feel the same about the boat. Even though the boat is not to blame, so to speak.

I'd guess more like $150,000 to $175,000 based on the other complete 41's out there currently for sale.

I would only compare a recent total refurb. Hull-up, deck off, new rigging, new big power, new upholstery. New paint.
The only recent complete refurbish 41 is Ultimate Warrior, a 25-year old hull. Teague 1000s. $250,000 asking.

I think you'd have to add another 40 or 50 to your estimate to take the deck off, grind and redo redo the stringer seams, same with bulkhead seams etc.

Well, if you paint it yourself with cheap 2 part epoxy, maybe 10m000, so you save 30,000. Then a used trailer, 10,000 saving another 5K. But there is no way you're getting a pair of 6's for 30,000, so you're adding another 20K there.......

You may be able to save 19,950 on interior if you buy a couple of cheap, used, pontoon bucket seats though......

You can currently buy Warpaint for 125000 or yellow Warpath for 130000. Seems a much better way to go....
