This was taken in a split second when the storm hit.
I looked over my shoulder and saw a complete white out and suddenly 50 to 60 mph gusts of wind hit me.... following with a wave of rain like I have never seen before.... :ack2:
From what I saw, this boat is made from 3 pieces. Hull, Deck, and a separate inner liner that makes up the cockpit. It appears they went through great lengths to secure the passengers inside this bowl shaped liner. It is an oval shape and the sides mirror image the side of an egg if it were cut in half. The bottom of it is laid out with 3 super stringers what looks to be 6 inches wide on each plus cross bracing. My best guess is the majority of the weight is coming from this safety capsule. The bulkheads coming off the side of the boat cradle this liner/cockpit adding additional strength to the entire structure.
