Thats just mind boggling, I know plenty of triple 300 outboard V bottoms that couldnt touch that pontoon..

The GPS data log, showed 221 MPH and 219 on one run

the gun does not exceed 208 !!!! who in theyr right mmiond uses guns in todays world anyways ??? its the most inaccurate way of messuring speed ! :ack2:

Gary Cook just ran 88 in his Class 6 OPA boat (70 mph max)

Yes I was and I must say that 26ft Velocity felt great, never danced and stuck to the water. In fact it stuck to the water a little to much not allowing us to reach out expected speeds.

Next year Crockett is building some big power just for this race and so are we. I'm thinking we should both be well into triple digits

In keeping with our M.O. we actually got DQ'ed in one run. :biggrinjester:

At the end of the run we slowed to about 85 and I took a right turn, a hard right turn into the no wake zone. They cop that came rushing up said we approached the spectator fleet to fast and the way he seen it the turn looked like we hooked and thought we had a problem. :rofl:
