Yesterday had a couple of really good runs.

The Skater "Dirty Duck" went 215 on the 3/4 mile course. A new record for a twin engine boat, (breaking their own record set last year).

The Skater "Yahoo" went 185 for the second place spot so far.

The four engine boat, and the turbine engine boat did not run. Both had issues I guess.

We shall see what happens today. Dirty Duck say they are running today at 10 and 2, Central time.

Jeez, Steve Curtis just ran 242 in the Turbine Mystic on the 3/4 mile course. Only 2 mph slower than their old 1 mile record.

Just saw rear facing camera clip of the run...
Sure looked like they tagged some tree branches after the end.
Heard and read a few comments saying that the shut down portion of the course was a bit sketchy.

That thing sure looked like it accelerated HARD

Yeah, the course was not straight and they barely missed the peninsula at the end. They were not the only boat that could not stay in the shutdown area because the course had a curve to it before open water. I'm surprised they allowed that after the first really fast boat that could not stay on the course, went between the buoys and the land.
