Key West 2011, P1 and P2 Photos and Results

P1 and P2 were both interesting for the week.

In P2, Hawaiian Tropic was the only boat that answered the starting bell in Sunday's final. They finished 1st on all three days, and of course, 1st overall.....

Zipp Express had two 2nds, and Team Mojo had two 3rd place finishes.

P1

P1 was really a great race on Sunday, and throughout the week. On Sunday, the water continued to build throughout the day, so although there were some good running shots. I was hanging on to keep from falling off the flybridge and have the biggest batch of slightly blurry shots imaginable.....

Ukrainian Spirit finished 1st on Sunday, and 1st overall, witha 3rd Wednesday, a 5th Friday, and the 1st Sunday. The double points on Sunday, combined with a 1mph breakout on Wednesday by Shogren Performance moving them to to 4th from 1st, gave Spirit the championship. Congrats on showing up from Europe, and the overall win...

It really is a sweet looking, and running, boat....

As I said Shogren Performance Marine finished 2nd for the championship with the 4th by penalty, followed by two 2nd place finishes. They were still only 32 points out of first.

Third overall was Cleveland Construction with 1st, a 3rd, and a 4th on Sunday's double points heat....

The Sunday race between Cleveland Construction which finished 4th, and XXX which finished 3rd was tight all the way through....

Shed's Plus finished 4th overall. They broke on Sunday, but had a 5th and a 1st on Wednesday and Friday respectively.....

Peters & May ended up 5th overall with a 3rd Wednesday, a 4th Friday, and a 5th on Sunday...

And XXX ended the week in 6th place overall. They had the DNS on Wednesday, then the DNF on Friday, but on Sunday they finished the race running strong with 3rd place...
