I have a new toy.......

currently dealing with the tree that came down overnight covering my driveway with downed wires.....

Progress I think, pulled the cover off the vst today, it was full of crap. So I pulled the whole thing off the boat brought it home and commenced to cleaning. Im wondering how it even ran, the micron filter wouldn't pass light much less fuel. Got it back together and was going back down to the boat when the rains came again. we shall see what happens in the morning.

hooked a timing light up, my tach was definitely off. Wrapped on the throttle a few times and the tach on the timing gun hit 4800 a couple time. The guy that looked at it said my number one problem was the 21 p three blade and said I was hitting the limiter. gonna fo for a boat ride and see how she works.

The boat gods have smiled upon me!! My 21p prop is way to small though. Idled down the river, came right up on plane and took off. Handles the washing machine great. Hit a couple holes where I though there would be a solid thud and it didn't even phase it. Thanks to everyone that said NOOO!! when I was thinking of putting a small block in it, as it would have ended up rather boring it handles so nice.

Congrats Rob!!

What are you thinking for the next prop?
I'm guessing 23p 3 blade. Something with a bit of cup.

it does ride really flat, but I didn't mess with the trim to much. Id like to try a 24 4 blade. Rides flat but didn't feel like it wanted to stuff or dive at all, really feels like a MUCH bigger boat. There is a lot more on the table with some trim and more prop. It never felt like I even started to get it light, so there is a lot left. No hop, chine walk or anything uphill or downhill. Did take a tap on the tab going crossgrain though just to level it out side to side.

Rob, you gonna head over to Woodtick this weekend??

I hear there is gonna be a bit of a party there.

working this weekend, but Dave gave me a 24p bravo1 4 blade to try. Im pulling it this weekend, to change all the fluids, make a few tweeks hear and there etc now that it has a few hours on it.
