Madison— Governor Scott Walker participated in the ribbon cutting and ground breaking ceremony at BRP US Inc. in Sturtevant to celebrate its $15 million investment in its Evinrude facility and the relocation of 136 jobs to Wisconsin.
“The Evinrude brand has had a presence in Wisconsin for more than 100 years,” Governor Walker said. “I’m proud to be here to congratulate a company that has shown its dedication to the great people of this state. Hundreds of Wisconsin families are supported by the manufacturing and selling of Evinrude outboard engines.”
“The BRP employees here in Wisconsin and across the world have a great deal to be proud of. The inauguration of BRP’s Evinrude campus represents a commitment to engineering and manufacturing excellence, and the beginning of a new chapter in an ongoing legacy that is simply unmatched in the marine outboard industry”, said Alain Villemure, vice president and general manager, BRP Outboard Engine division.
