Depth Finder Opinions

The depth finder in my 1990 31-foot Cigarette Bullet does not work. I suspect that the "hockey puck sized" transducer has failed. I think it's a Garmin. What do you recommend as a replacement?

First, get rid of the only gauge in the dash with a yellow bezel. Get one with a white bezel that matches.....:D

I would check on a replacement transducer first though. But my opinion is Garmins are one of the best there are. The biggest issue is how much do you want to spend? SInce everything else on your dash appears to be Gaffrig, theirs are certainly on my list of quality instruments.

Paint the bezel white.......:toetap05:

Did you look into the Gaffrigs? Or is there something else you would rather have? I think all of the major players DP's are well respected. Now, if you were talking about a chart plotter/depth finder combo. We could really have a discussion....

Why do you need to know the Carbon Dioxide level?

I actually believe that is a guage that should be mandatory in boats where people spend the night's in cabins. Especially in cold climates where they may be using heaters.

I would understand that if it was a Carbon MONOXIDE detector. CO, not CO2
