From The Morning Journal. Looks like this occured Saturday night.
SANDUSKY - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources personnel found Pam Holstein’s body inside a 36 foot Rinker after it was brought ashore on Oct. 23, according to a report from the Coast Guard.
Holstein and Charles Kaplan, 58, of Solon, were reported missing on Sunday afternoon after they went out on Kaplan’s boat. Someone at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky reported the boat capsized near Cedar Point breakwall at 12:13 p.m. on Oct. 23.
The Coast Guard suspended the search for Kaplan at 12:59 a.m. on Oct. 24. Boats and aircrews searched for about 12 hours, covering more than 120 square feet of water.
According to the release, “After a probable search area is saturated several times with a maximum number of assets, resources and crew effort, and persons in distress are still not located, a decision is made to suspend a case.”
The Coast Guard will consider resuming the search if evidence is reported that Kaplan may have survived.
