Not sure how this happened, seems odd. All of you know Charles as Chip from the Dial 911 Skater team. It didn't register with me, I said that last name sounds familiar, until I was told "Chip". Sad......
LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Two people were killed in a high-speed Lake Havasu boat crash that left the boat upside down on land Saturday night.
According to the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12.
Deputies from the Mohave County Sheriff's Office Division of Boating Safety responded to a reported boating collision in the area of Cattail Cove State Park on Lake Havasu.
Arriving deputies found a 2019 36' Douglas Marine boat upside down on land on the Arizona side, which was just north of Cattail Cove State Park.

Deputies found two people unresponsive near the boat and began life-saving measures. San Bernardino County and Lake Havasu City Fire Departments responded and pronounced both victims dead at the scene.
The victims were identified as Charles Romer, 65, and Jennifer Luzzi, 59, both of Lake Havasu City.
Investigation showed that the boat was traveling "at a high rate of speed" when it hit a large peninsula and became airborne. The boat landed upside down in a boat-in campsite north of the initial impact.
