What are your top 3 repair problems with your boat that you would liked solved?

Welcome to SOS. We have a large group of Apache fanatics here! I don't really have any repair problems with my boats. My biggest challenge at this point is having patience while saving funds to complete my project.

Thanks for coming aboard. We look forward to having your involvement with our site.

Do you have any interesting Apache trivia that you could share with us?

Tommy

I too am delighted to see our Ft. Meyer Apache friend on board here. You folks have always been very gracious in answering my calls and questions regarding the status and condition of all the vintage Apaches. No questions right now, but appreciate your participation.

My top three repair problems would be:

1) The wait time to get in for a repair
2) The speed and quality of the repair
3) The price of the repair

Just a repair joke to break the ice.
No reference to McManus or Apache. :)
(Hope that went without saying.)

Thanks Tommy, for your kind words. We are developing a series of solutions to common problems people have with their boats. The solutions will be posted in the forums, on our website and on Facebook. Your input is greatly appreciated!

In all seriousness, the only thing I can think of that I had to come up with a solution for with my Brave after the restoration was the issue of batteries inside a bilge with a hydraulic hatch. We do winter layup/ storage up here, and I like to take the batteries out. So I had to rig up a harness to attach to the fuse panel in the cabin. It was something that my boat didn't really accommodate being a Florida boat.

Love my boat btw. :)

Welcome to the forum.

The biggest problems always seem to be the same thing repeated over and over. And, unfortunately, the new alcohol fuels are making things worse.

Winterizing, North Water, Everywhere Fuel Systems
Flushing, Salt or Polluted Water
Wood Degradation, Everywhere

If there were easy ways to make these three things readily easy to take care of, many of the other issues could be eliminated I think.
