I'm trying new stuff. As I've said before, let me know what you think.

I do not know every place of the finishers. But, some of the more interesting stuff I'll try to have the inside answers on, or try to get them for you as I have time.

Hope you enjoy.

Terri was doing the shooting from the pier. Some of these will be similar to Pete's shots. But, his camera and lenses kicks our butt.

At the start.

610 was running really well throughout the race. Although it sounded like a tractor with the constant bumping of the rev limiter....

The, on the last lap, about 100 yds before the finish.....:D

Blew a coupler.........:ack2:

Talking with Rick after the race, if the wind would have been blowing the other way, and they had an oar, they'd have finished.....

There was a very close call during the race.

The BatBoat spun out, they said after they lost their steering. With the close proximity of the other boats, they were run over by Cotner.

The front of the boat was pretty well damaged. Looking at the other damage, I think they may have also gone over, but it's hard to tell.

Gino saw the helmets in the water and thought they'd both gone in somehow. And, because he was right behind another boat, barely missed them. Said it scared the heck out of him, and he got passed by the others as he swung wide and slowed down.

Terri actually got some of the shot

This is the kind of coverage I like . The more up close and personal look at whats going on . Makes it seem a little closer . I use to do it this way a while back ,its hard to get it on here quick enough .

Thank you for the efforts .:D

Some of the damage.

Looks as if both boats will not make it out on Sunday.

Cotner's split the bottom of the hull right on the keel below the gastank.

Hopefully he can fix it, but it would be a major undertaking they way the damage is.

was Dan M. driving (throttling ) the reindl boat ? Glad for no personal injury.

He and Chris were in the boat. I chatted with him, but Chris went to the hospital for some stitches. I gave him a call, but had to leave a message and am waiting for a call back.

Dan remembers little. Said he was told he threw his helmet off, but doesn't remember that. He remembers the spin, then everything went black he said.

He was sore and beat up, but not a lot more. I'm hoping to chat with Chris soon.

Great coverage Paul. Looks like Glass Dave has bondo work to do on the Bat.

Talked with Chris last night.

They have the boat back together and will run it today it appears.

He did not go to the hospital, just a little beat up and banged up.

The boat barrelled rolled twice. The first time the hatches flew open, the second time it ripped their helmets off from what he recalls. He believes the impact from Cotner Trailer, while they were sliding sideways, is what caused the roll.
