I have questions for those that have listed thier boat on EBAY first question: The listing cost states $0.00 insertion fee but if it sells or the bid goes higher than the reserve it will cost you $125.00 now that is where my question comes in: If I have a buyer that falls thru do I have to pay the $125.00 any help would be great. I know that some of you have sold and posted boats so thanks for the elp in advance.

...and no, you dont have to pay that if it falls through. You can file a claim with ebay and they take it off your statement.

I was thinking about trying to sell mine on there. Frakie at Pier57 said they don't really sell boats on there, but they get alot of leads. I sold my Jeep on there last fall, worked out great. They buyer showed up cash in hand.

08-28-2009 06:33 PMi had mine sold on cl 3 times and all three they couldn't come up with the cash and we're only talkin about $10k. i'm on my second go round on ebay. it starts at $9500 with no reserve. 87 scarab. its brutal tryin to sell a boat right now. i can't imagine tryin to sell one for big bucks, maybe you would have a better buyer. hey Davidmnc place a bid on mine would ya.
