Whats your favorite. Not some hotel or chain place. The best local place.

It used to be the Old Heidelberg Castle. Very colorful place full of older German's who I suspect moved here around 1946

As soon as I seen this Phillipie Creek also popped in my head !! Is it the best ? I don't know but what I do know is that everytime we go to Venice or Englewood/Manasota key area we make the drive up just to eat there..

I talked to my uncle today about comming down & hopefully staying in Manasota the end of the month so yeah this is fresh on my mind, as I can taste that blackend grouper sandwich already !! Bring on the horseradish baby !! lol...

Although its not in Sarasota, just a short piece down the road in Venice is Luna's Italian & we are always there several times throughout the trip !!

Columbia Restaurant is there. They make MOJITOS by the pitcher tableside. Mmm, think I'll go there tomorrow first arrival.

Third floor salsa music - hot chicks, fourth floor regular bar - still hot chicks. I was there on a Thursday last month - food wasn't bad either (first and second floors restaurant).

Anna Maria Oyster Bar in Bradenton. Casual atmosphere with great seafood.

Not a "night out" place but awesome for great food and drinks
