Possibly thinking of getting a friend an aerial photo shoot done for him.
What are the costs?
Who is in the NYC area?
TIA

06-12-2009 04:14 PMBest be is to do it during an organized event that's being photographed already. You can get with the person shooting it ahead of time and give them specific requests. Renting a helo and getting a good action photographer that knows what he's doing is going to cost you a bundle by the time you're done. And shooting a boat only takes a couple minutes. Why pay for a couple hours of helo time and dragging a photog out for an afternoon? There are no shortages of poker runs happening in your area. Do it there. You might even be able to get video.
If you really want to pursue it, Tim Sharkey is in your neighborhood. http://www.seriousoffshore.com/forums/member.php?u=55

06-12-2009 05:19 PMI met someone who does it and was told $850-$1200. Don't know what the particulars are but that is what I remember.
