Nice to see the Italians made it. I can't wait to hear how it does. A 46' boat with Seatek Diesels should be interesting. I wonder if they are hoping for some rougher water?

    The TNT46
Restyling and the best techniques stand out in a sophisticated intervention that reduces emissions and consumption, whilst raising performance level. The 2 diesel engines, in fact, consume and produce less pollution.

Committed to racing, destined to win. The TNT 46 is a technological distillate obtained by the Metamarine boatyard using innovative design techniques combined with experience gained over years of racing. This new Metamarine product is aimed at satisfying the competitive requirements of the most demanding ship-owner, who demands limits of the range performance, safety of use, reliability as standard and, last but not least, high aesthetic impact.

The spartan and ergonomic cabin has a huge glazed windscreen that offers the occupants a vast view. The occupants are seated aligned in a row of three seats that cocoon and absorb any shock. To absorb shock, they have been anchored to a structure that uses a pair of forks normally used in motorbikes, and which are completely adjustable, in compression, recovery and brake on the basis of the weight of the specific occupant.

The generous openings in the upper part of the cabin consent easy and dignified access to the dashboard. The standard instrumentation is easily visible at a glance and logically laid out. The central steering wheel offers an optimum optical driving perspective and the movement wheel-throttle-wheel is quick and natural.

    The hull
Produced in sandwich Kevlar-expanded PVC, it has a 23° angle at the vertex. In the stern of the quickwork, 2 steps are of notable help in hyperventilating the hull. This notably reduces sliding friction. In this way, smoothness and a high level of watertightness are the design musts of this really new Metamarine hull. All Metamarine hulls are moulded using the infusion technique, which allows you to obtain a resistant yet light hull since the wire/fibre ratio is very low.

controlled engine totally built in series. 6 line
cylinders, sequential turbo chargers controlled by
the S.E.M.S. (Seatek Engine Management System)
design and dedicated for this application The engine

    high performance hull and racing

Those Seatek's are really cool. They're so damn heavy though, ~2100 lbs each.

The Sea Tecs were originally developed for racing by Buzzi. Years ago diesels were given twice the displacement in Open class. When they have shown up in the past the have Kicked A$$.

They look like Offshore to me. Big, Bad and Looking for Big water.

I did this morning at the drivers meeting..... during testing no one in the boat speaks english, they just say "race control" and that ends it. During the race Stefano , who speaks english is in the boat . They love key west.
