Another great story of the weekend. Jim Simmons won the Randy Linback sportsmanship award. I cant think of a better person that represents this award. He has helped any racer that was in need. He brings his shop with him in his motor home and has always been the go to guy if you need something. He has saved my a$$ more than once and has never asked for anything in return. We all need more racers like Jim around us.
I will add to the story just a little more about his comittment and his word when he says something. It was just a week before the Biloxi race and Jim had his new boat in a pile in his shop. He knew he said he would be in Biloxi a month ago and people were counting on him to show. Well he made it happen!!! He was there with 2 boats. Unfortunetly his SVL had never had any time to be tested and several isssues made him not able to start. Jim never gave up and honnered his word that he would be there. Thats the kind a guy he is. Welcome to the family of names that are on that award. You da man.
