Got to tell you guys about a funny episode ( well fun now...not at the time)
which happened at Chicago International gate when I left Clearwater.
I was proudly wearing my Team Warpaint-T (thank you Mr & Mrs Vesper) with a Jerseez longsleeve under it walking and looking around with my eyes wide open at everything when I saw a Customs official in his late 40īs stare like me like hes had golfballs going to orgasm for eyes and staring right at the Apache Powerboats Logo...
Well Benny...seems they still remember....

10-08-2009 09:17 AMOffshore Racing wasnīt designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. It's man vs the elements, not like boats with like engines running in circles.

Well in the rough the new technology isnīt for any help if the A41 is also a light Racer as the speeds stay low.
But make a A41 with nowadays Resins and layup... then see what happens.
And in Cowes a boat from 1984 creamed everyone... dueling with the A41.Offshore Racing wasnīt designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle. And itīs not the only boat from the old days capable of that in 6īs and up...unless itīs a buzzi or some other behemoth.
Apache is a legend no doubt about it but not the only one either.
Thenagain I reckon any other powerboat-T wouldnīt gotten the officials attention...Offshore Racing wasnīt designed to be a spectator sport, it's for people or companies with's lots of money to push the envelope of endurance technology and hopefully put a trophy on a mantle.
