Oh, Pat.....I am sorry to say I have nothing, in the way of prop covers for you. I wish I could help, I am not sure who would have anything for the diameters you run. Let me do some checking around though.

Safe Testing!

Testing went real well!!! thanks Julie and Matt for another great set of props. It is sooo nice to finally get some smooth running stable props to run!!!

This was the warm up in 1st gear banking off into the turn at 98 mph......:reddevil:

You need to sort something out for us trash can lids and beach towels will not look so hot comming through the pits on the way to the crane.

Sounds like some very nice props by way of your comments :)

What software and gauge are you using for your dash set-up in the video?

Thanks
Jon

Racepak. I have been working with them for several years now and I would not change. The screens below (in the video) are the older UDX screens. The new one on top is the latest motorsports dash G2X. Right now I have 6 dashes in the boat. Driver (1),Throttles (3), rear passengers one each.

It has GPS, accelerometer....several different types of sensors and modules to adapt to almost every engine. Just go to www.racepak.com

On this one we are recording trim and flaps and steering input. I have maxed the main unit out at 200 channels so we just added the new dash to get to another 200 channels.:willy_nilly: I am monitoring both engines, both 6 speeds, both drives, and the boat accellerations, course, pressures, and temps.

I hate asking the driver how it felt.

hea shifter, are you running multi-speed trans on the boat?
is CMS using your trans?
can you give us an idea of how they work? got to listen over a conversation where joey imprescia was talking about running C1 with multi-speed trans. preety cool stuff.

Pat,

Thanks for the imformative answer as always !

Sdave,

In a way the trans in cms is ours just a Lambo copy. Here is the short story.

We needed to have access to the engine ecu because at the time 1991 we were just getting the F1 style shifting semi auto into the boats with Achilli Motors. We were lifting the ground strap for the injectors to kill the motor during shifts. Lambo was not amused..... they told us we could not do that so We lifted the power to the coil without cutting the fuel. Just picture spinning the motor 7000 rpm and the amount of fuel in the pipes when it re lit. Needless to say they knew when we were shifting.:sifone:

We were working for Chrysler in 92 and they owned Lambo. We were asked to have a meeting on multispeeds. Mr Venturelli headed the meeting. At the time they were running a 3 spd and it was not very good. We sent over one of our 2 speeds for evaluation and showed them how to do a propper race trans. After the free look and an enormous testing bill they handed us.....We walked away from the table with nothing. They never returned our trans.

In 93 we went to VictoryTeam with Randy (2 speed no trans ECU) Big block Sterlings with MSD ignition and proceeded to work with Mr. Serralles in 1994 to develope the 2 speed we made for Randy into a semiautomatic using a Williams F1 controller to run it. We then made our own controller in 96 turned it into a 3 speed and made race it in the states with ZeroDefect and Don Q. Then we made it into a 4 speed and then in 1999 a 6 speed at the urging of Mr. Serralles to run down our very succesfull 4-speed Diesel.

We were testing the 6 speed up and down the beach in Dubai when lambo was showing a picture of their 6 speed. Venturelli was now Director of VT and shelved us in favor of his buddies at Lambo.

In 2000 after we won the second World Championship in a row with our Seatek 4-speed semiautomatic they banned multispeeds.

The second set of 6 speeds is now in the siver boat XP1-00.

Here is how they work. Push the upshift button the computer Goes through an 8 step process and hands the control of the trans back to the pilot in approx 60m/s. The same for a downshift.

Here is a video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DINWsjuh-ys

just wondering, whats one of those puppy's worth?

so there is no clutch assembly. you guys kill the motor for a split second kind of like a drag bike setup?

For the 6 speeds they are $36,000 each. There is no real standard yet so with billet housings and custom installations # of speeds the price will vary. We are looking at running the 8-speed next.

I did a design for platinum where the trans is only 6 inches from bellhousing to output flange. with the 6 speeds and reverse.....

The shift is all computer controlled, syncronized no clutch. On our drag bikes we have no cut...:sifone:
