One of a kind, what do you think?

Interesting. Those motors are much older than 2005, aren't they? When was the last year they offered those batch-fired 350 MPI's? I remember seeing them in mid-90's era boats. The only Profile I've seen up close was that 38' (?) Poker Run boat that sat on Rt. 5 down at LOTO for awhile. The fit and finish and quality control on that boat was horrendous. If you eyed down the rubrail from the stern on both sides of the boat, neither side matched the other. The deck was so far off from fitting the hull that the hull was deflected inward on the starboard side to get the deck to fit. It literally looked like two different boats depending what side you looked down. I just don't think this boat would be worth much...in the 20's at most.

To be honest- boat is trying to be too many things and may end up not being good at any thing. Not bashing- just saying there may be more than 1 reason it is a 1 off...

- looks too tight/narrow for fish/hangout/dance floor space
- fun to run in but bench instead of bolsters on this size CC a lot more functional
- inboards can't get to the shallows for fish fans & lose a lot of cockpit room

All that being said- looks to be a easy and cool little "river rat" boat to be-bop around in on a lazy Tuesday afternoon but think unless the price was really right would be hard to unload when your done goofing off in it.

I don't think it was built to be a fish boat. It's more like a powerplay with more cockpit space and space up front. I have the boat at my place and i was all over it. The boat is really nice. The finish work is beautiful. Under thre floor, in the storage compartments and the other places that normally show when a boat is built like crap were all finished very nice. I found out more of the story today. The owner of Profile built this one for himself. When he needed money, he sold it to my buddy with a few other boats.
My buddy said one of the boats was a smaller cat that was a piece of junk. He said the deck flexed like it was cardbboard. The finish work was terrible. The deck was screwed to the hull, that's it.
This boat was obviously different and my buddy kept it for himself. He never used it, it's been in one of his building for 2 years.

I hear what everyone is saying about some of their boats being junk. I have heard that before.
I'm no expert by any means but for what I see, this boat is really nice. I'm not a center console person, or a lover of v-bottoms. This really has a cool look to it and quite a bid of room.

If it runs close to 70, i'm keeping it.

I guess it's good I don't fish, I guess I'll have to dance at home or go on someone elses boat should I get the urge!!:)

Just don't put a pole on and let Mark dance on it.....:ack2:

All I can is that I had a Profile and it was the biggest POS I ever had and it fell apart inside of 2 yrs.
Gino I got one name for ya, well 3......BoatHouse......Remember??????...Ed/ Scott

pretty cool, I like it..

actually.. I really like it.. i'd have to run it to see how it acts with that much weight aft dependent on fuel cell location..

what's the beam?

arch looks a tad small, or maybe just a tad short on height

I seriously doubt 70.... I say 62-65, i'm assuming 1.5 Bravo's??

whats the fuel capacity?

redoing the bolster seat to a same color leaning post with a small underseat storage box would free up the rear area substantially....

I think somewhere in mid to low 40's $$$ depending on the dated age of the power, anything under that say 38k would be a bargain deal..

I actually really like the lay out! I've been to the Profiles factory(when Randy still owned it) and I've looked over a few of their boats. I'd have to agree that some are hit and miss. I've seen them lay up some super ones and some wavey ones. But even the wavey ones were strong and well layed up, the mold work just wasn't the greatest. If I were in the market I'd be all over a family truckster like that.

This boat reminds me of my old Cigarette 28 OS. The Cig had a split helm though, not a CC and opposing bench seats up front. I really liked the versatility of the boat, kind of like a SUV (sport utility vessel). This on looks like it has less room than the Cig.

GINO

Well built, good layout, whatever, I just can't picture you in that boat.

If you hadn't posted the pic originally and someone else unknown had..and under the pics it asked " IS THIS GINOS NEXT BOAT??"...I bet there wouldnt have been 1 answer YES.

Maybe it won't go 70 and then it doesnt matter.

See ya in KW. I buy.:):)

I may keep it for a run around boat but this will NOT be my Poker run boat!

Listen, last night i was thinking..."does the quality of the finish really matter???"
I have a lambo that has mice eating it and had a garage door close on it.
I had a Mercedes CL65 that had a gaurd gate arm karate chop it and it fell through a sewer grate and ruined the rim and smashed the car.
I had new seadoos that fell of trailers,
Freightliner that ended up half way in bicayne bay,
beautiful antique gun that went off and shot 3 people in the legs,
spent a year customizing my Motion to have it run into 30 minutes into the first poker run,
took my new frightliner to the airport only to find out 8'6" is too low! The hard way!,
and on and on and on.

It could be an aircraft carrier and i'll screw it up within a month. I think the finish work of this boat should be relativly low on y list of problem when i look at the big picture!

I like it ...... loose the arch , change the upholstery to white , fill the cooler and go boatin !

Would be a great little putz around in / bar hoppin boat !!!

I agree ... $ 25K

Well, pretty hard to argue with that:ack2:.......

I agree 100%. Some of you guys are reading to much into this. The boat looks like a fun easy to handle/care for ride. Nothing more nothing less. Have fun with it, and when you get done with it send it to Washington for me to play with! I will take good care of it for you, and it will be right here waiting for you any time you come to town!!! :sifone:

As a convert to the CC crowd the two things I like best about mine are the outboards (no standing on your head to work on it) and the cockpit room. I looked at a 34 SCARAB CC with I/O's but found it less desirable for maintenance and the loss in room. I think the inboards would be great on a 43 Nortech cat CC, just not on smaller ones.

That said, as long as you have it just go and have fun with it. It will still be great for taking along a crowd and just hose it out when your done. It would look better with white upholstery, but then any boat does in my view.

QUOTE]

Here you go!!

A few years back neighbor asked me if I was interested in buying a 5 gun collection owned by one of his elderly friends needing cash. Back then I didn’t know much about guns, especially old ones. They were all over 25 years old. A few were very cool. I told him I really didn’t have interest but I would try and get rid of them.
I brought the guns to the gun show at the ft. Lauderdale war memorial. When you walk in there is a table with 3 uniformed-off duty police sitting there and they check every gun to see if it’s loaded, then they secure it by putting a wire tire over the trigger.
Renea and I walked up to the table and put the duffle bag on it containing the 5 guns. Took the first one out and gave it to the cop. He asked if it was loaded. I told him, “I didn’t think so but I’m not sure. They are not my guns and I don’t know how to open them to check.”
He told me “don’t worry about it, that’s what we’re here for”.
I handed him the first gun, he was impressed with the gun, he said hadn’t seen one like that in years. He checked out the 2nd one, then the 3rd and as I handed him the 4th, the cop next to him (which was a miserable old bastard) said, “How many more do you have in there, you’re holding up the line!” I told him I had one left. He said “GIVE IT TO ME”, the cop I was dealing with said, I got it I’m almost done. The old cop grabbed the gun case out of my hand with an attitude. I looked at the cop I had been dealing with and he shrugged his shoulders. About 3 seconds later the loudest boom ever was right in our faces. You could feel the compression in our faces and the smoke felt warm, it was right in our faces. I look at the older cop with the gun still smoking in his hand and he says “Where did that round come from?!!!” he checked the gun to see it was empty and threw it in the table in my direction. “I said I don’t know! You were the one checking it.”
He then said where is your permit to carry a loaded firearm? I said I don’t have one. He then got up, threw the table out of the way and threw me and Renea against the wall.
Complete confusion for the next few minutes. People running, screaming, cops coming from everywhere, it was complete tunnel vision for me. The lobby of the war memorial is all marble, granite and terrazzo so it echoed like a bazooka.
While against the wall no less than 10 cops had us standing there, in hand cuffs, scared to death. We were trying to explain what happened but no one, not even the nice cop we were dealing with would listen to us. One cop said to the old cop that shot the gun “what happened”? He said pointing to Renea and myself, these *******s brought a loaded gun in here. I saw my life flash before my eyes. I thought I was going to jail.
Just then bad goes to worse. I guy walks around the patrician wall bleeding from his calf. I heard someone say “he got hit”. I almost died. 2 seconds later another guy comes hopping on one foot with his shoe off, bleeding from the side of his foot. Blood was everywhere. It was like a nightmare.
You think that’s bad? Here comes a guy with his arms over the shoulders of 2 men. He has blood on his thigh.
3 birds, one stone!
Things are a little fuzzy for the next little bit but then the place looked like sept. 11th. Sheriffs, state troopers, firemen, EMS, uncover cops, every available cop or firemen in Fort Lauderdale showed up.
They had us standing against the wall behind the table the cops were sitting. They now had yellow police tape blocking Renea and I back there protecting the blood drops on the floor. We have now had 3 people shot, every cop in Florida looking at us like we are rapists. Apparently it’s a very big deal for a cop to accidently discharge a gun especially if someone is hit. Image 3 people! Now the gun show is closed for entry. There are a load of gun nuts 6 feet away from us on the other side of the tape. We got more dirty looks! We could hear what everyone was saying. I remember hearing someone say; this ******* started shooting and shot a couple of people, now we can’t go in! People were calling us names and giving us dirty looks. It was very scary.
Renea which is the absolute opposite of me. Never said a curse word in her life, Never had a ticket, never had a confrontation with police and now she is handcuffed, crying, and looking scared to death. I never felt so bad.
We were interviewed at least a dozen times by every department of law enforcement. After about an hour a guy walks in still in golf shoes. He was the Chief. He was the only decent guy out of the bunch. After he talked to everyone else he came over to us. I immediately said, “I’m so sorry this happened but I told him I didn’t know if it was loaded and he grabbed it”. The chief said, I know. The original cop inspecting the guns told him the story. The chief was very nice and sympathetic. He even said, “This is not your fault! I have told these guys for years this is a dangerous detail, they should have a barrel with sand to point the gun in. He then says look at the element in this place. I looked around and you have skin heads, covered in tattoos with m16’s, brothers with every tooth gold plated with AK47’s on their shoulders, then you have the guys in trench coats standing next to the local Hells Angels group.
We were given 4 of our 5 guns back and let go after about 4 hours of hell.
Turns out 2 people were hit with the bullet; the third was hit by a piece of terrazzo from when the bullet hit the floor. Thank god none were serious. I got a few letters about a law suit but nothing ever materialized. I know I have a depo coming up. I can't believe it took 4 years. I did hear the cop that shot the gun was only 3 months away from retirement. I guess he was in a lot of trouble over this. It’s a bad mark on his record and hurts his retirement. Apparently he put the wire tie around the trigger and the grip and pulled the wire tie tight with a pair of pliers. He never checked the chamber which had a round.
Just another chapter!
