Not sure what’s going to happen with Powerquest. All he has is V-bottom molds. If he was able to make them cheaper then the rest of the crazy priced stuff , maybe he can make it. My cars are over priced enough, glad I’m not a boat dealer. They need to come out with a 25ft center console you can do a 5 year lease on. Payments a small town family’s can afford.
This. Sale or 5 year lease then sell them used like rental cars. Have one V hull design. Basic but customizable. Sell one outboard SKU that works for most. Basic trailer. One model. Period. Keep the systems to a minimum. Package weight under 5,000lbs. One interior. Company motto:
Perfection is the enemy of fun. Be the Volkswagen of boats. Not Ferrari. We could find a finance company to do everyone who doesn't come with their own note. Everything we do, we do in bulk. One sku. All parts fit all boats. Best use of inventory management and less stock on books. Don't have parts fabbed. Use stock stuff. Make deal with outboard supplier. Again, one sku. Interchangeable. One common bracket. A simple one. One color. White. Nobody will see that coming.
I can do the whole plan if you want to do it. We can call it Captain Bob's Dam Good Boats. Or maybe "Captain's Quarters" after the fact that we only do 25s.
I recommend we splash the 27 Monza.

Cut it down and add the bracket.... viola.
You can be president if you float the capital. I'll do all the management/logistics, A/R, and A/P but I want VP and a display model to use.
I have an idea for labor but we should probably talk about that in person.
I kind of see one company to build and one to hold, finance and distribute. But maybe not needed.
Anybody else want in? Seems like they would sell nationwide. We need reps in upper and lower great lakes, down south, Florida...
We could work with one trucking company and flatbed them regionally. People could work with Jeff Murray for one-off transport needs. The logo is that one 25 foot model. The boat is the brand. The brand is the boat.
