Fortunately, the weather held out....somewhat...
Friday nite's HALL OF FAME Party was tremendous...alot of great Champions from "yesterday".
On Saturday, we got the run in..."just"...and GLAD WE DID...there are so may "parts/permits" to producing this affair! I am so happy for Dr Bill Schmid; I hope at 77 years old I still have his Passion for the "speed" that he demonstrated on Saturday.
Thanks for all of your support guys...just got home to CT...gotta' go to sleep now for about 72 hours.
The website, www.nationalpowerboat.com , is being updated now...should be alot of photos "up" soon.
My direct e-mail is: frenzyyy@optonline.net
if you need any direct/confidential info.
PS: On another thread I read that the MTI was "detuned"...how could you come to NEW YORK CITY and not bring your "A Game/all the boost" ...somebody is not sleeping well over that decision!

Sorry that I didn't make it this year Billy somehow I think my hangover would have been over the top with the inclement weather and all I am sure Dave P was there running around and if that was the case I am sure Jack would have been being our best buddy!!!!

All photos by Freeze Frame Video have been uploaded to http://www.freezeframevideo.net. All the photos from this event will be sent to Performance Magazine as well as all of the Sunny Isles Offshore Challenge Photos.

I have no idea what you are talking about :icon_bs:

Considering the weather and the economy, I think Billy did an outstanding job again. The event was very special as we got to see some of our old friends. People like Gino Montrone, Frank Talarico, Phil Fillapone, Tom Caruso, Frank Lach, Frank Buckley, Joey Calabro, John Emmons, Mark Tangus, and Kurt Berger represent the best the sport has to offer and their awards certainly signify that. The awards for Sharkey and Dave P. were also well deserved. Add to that Iconic "legends" like John De'lia, Pete Myer, Richie Powers, Johnny Tomlinson, and Joey Imprescia and you know the ingredients were there for an outstanding event. I know I am forgetting some of you and for that I apologise.....

Once again we had the opportunity to announce the video, and help Billy with hosting the awards...alawys a fun "gig". And I must point out that the Pickering boys have become some of the best cameramen I have ever worked with ( and "By chance" ;) one of them managed to be on board the "King of the Hudson" hull, Doc Shmid's beautiful 36 Skater "Catisfaction", for great video footage). The amount of development I have seen these young men experience is truly amazing and I no longer will think of them as Danny's "kids". Believe me they are as creative as anyone out there....and better than most.

So here we are again on the day after Father's Day wondering how Billy will top this next year.

One more thing...Let me add my best wishes to Ronnie Barrette and his wonderful family. As some of you know Ron"s 40 foot Skater was last year's King of the Hudson in this event after a dramatic contest with the Cat Killer Fountain. Unfortunately Ron has had some spinal issues and already has had the first of two surgeries on three vertabrae in his neck. He is currently "wheeling around" and Darren has given him some pointers. We are pulling for him to have a complete recovery.

Definitely! I may be one of the pace boats for Lake George.

Also, told Dad about running LG with you before then if you head up. He said he would love to do it. Just let me know when/if you head up there and he will try to make it.

Billy, thanks for putting on a great show! The Lucky Duck crew had an amazing time despite the weather. We'll be joining you again next year!
