The only public ramp is the state ramp on the ICW at the island end of the causeway. Watch out on the right side- the ramp only goes halfway and drops off. And let me know if there's still a trailer in the parking lot with a mangled frame and a missing axle.

You don't want to launch at Cross. It's in a wildlife refuge. They put all the kayak tours in there. You can't go slow enough to not get a ticket. Unless it's like a little flats boat. But it's a long idle out.

One of you northern a$$hats left a lot of this white crap here in Oklahoma. You need to come clean this mess up - this sh!t is EVERYWHERE!:cuss::willy_nilly::)

It's currently 21 at LOTO; light snow; with the freezing rain/ice getting uncomfortably close. And like a supid fvck I did go fishing in the rain last Saturday, poured the entire time. Now the boat is frozen solid.

Only 13 more days until Miami.

Funny thread. While you guys have been trading low temp numbers all day I've been on a boat with Bobthebuilder. :sifone:

naner, naner. :driving:

Mid-70's, partly sunny and about 15 bad-azz boats. We had a great day.
:cheers2:

pix will ensue.

I have about 10 degrees right now in northern LP Michigan!:ack2:

Not cold enough to stop us from boating :D

First there was Chip Foose and Overhaulin' . . . . . so we built KEELHAULIN'

There a snowmobile poker run every year here on the river my yacht club is on. It hits all the clubs we hit in the summer. Well last year on the run we came up with this brainchild . . . . . I picked up an older Ski-Doo Escapade and my friend John rounded up a doner hull and . . . .well . . . . we got out the bar napkins . Everything is functional, The steering wheel works the front skis, dash gauges function, all lights are present and functional. 360 light as well as all necessary nav lights for a craft of this size and just to keep Michigan trails enforcement happy we also have running lights as well as brake and tail. Electric start, forward and reverse are also handy on this baby . . . . . . more to follow. The pokerrun is tomorrow morning.

Just a sneak peak, first test drive was this afternoon and all went very well. She boogies and actually rides pretty decent.
