New Ford Super Duty

Those pics have been around for a couple of years now. I always thought the wood floor was kinda cool.

I have yet to understand the reason for more frequent changes in body styles by manufacturers lately. It seems like they are changing them too quick for people to adjust IMO. I just don't see the need in having a new body style for a vehicle every 3-4 years when 7-8 used to be the norm.

They said that it was a 5 year plan on the F-150 series body styles for changes. The 1987 body style to 1991, then 1992 to 1996,then 1997 to 2003, then 2004 to 2009.The 250 body is a little different. The Ranger has not changed since 1993, it would be nice to see a change in that.

Pics of the 2011

The 2011 is a major disappointment for me aesthetically :ack2:

Lose the upside down stacked headlights :puke: and how much bigger do you have to make the grille?

Oh, I know, make it look like a Tundra! :cuss:

Oh, BTW, I bleed Ford blue. Throw these in with the 58'-66' and 87'-91' trucks as the fugliest Ford trucks. Yes they even f'd-up the F-150 with it's latest iteration. What are they drinking in Dearborn?

Ugly is not cheaper than attractive.

Would either of these had killed them to make? Notice the headlights are stacked the right way. I don't care if my headlights shine in the rear view mirror of a Prius! :cuss:

Love the yellow Super Truck

Kind of looks like the old GM K series trucks
Boxy and badass

They should have stopped with the very 1st F-Series. The 1948 Ford was the 1st F-Series and the best looking of any of the trucks. Maybe the Model A pick-up will come in a close 2nd!

so how come ford wont put a better motor in the 150s than the 5.4? GM has the 400hp 6.2, toyota has the 380hp 5.7DOHC.... shame imo the new f150 looks the best and has the nicest interior of all the new 1/2 ton trucks but is the slowest.

I am hopeful That Fords new engine will be much improved.

If you look back around 2000 Dodge went with 100% engine management and injection by Bosch and quickly earned a bullet proof reputation. GM which was a mixture of control systems went 100% Bosch after they bought out Isuzu from Duramax in 2006, again an extremely reliable motor.

Ford has used a mish mash of Ford, Siemens and Interntional controls and injection since 2003 and have a real mutt on their hands.

There is nobody with more diesel control expertise than bosch so I expect that the new motor will reclaim Fords diesel rep that was lost with the end of the 7.3

I kinda liked the Bronco concept they came out with a few years ago (having had a 77 Bronco Ranger myself along with several others). i wasnt enamoured by it but thought it was kinda cool and would be nice to see the model brought back. Read somewhere it will be introduced in 2011.
