For the record.............if someone has a 29' Fountain or a 29' Formula or similar type boat we may stretch our 28' "Measuring Tape"
So at 29.2 I get to be the big dog.

Going to run upper barnegat bay.....prob about 25 miles from start to finish.
If we get alot of 26 & 28/29 ft boats we'll probably create a longer course just for those boats but we'll all end up at the Lobster Shanty.

As for membership, I have not finalized that yet. The entry fee will probably be all inclusive (membership + event fee).
The closest ramp is Drum Point marina in Brick NJ. Great ramp but parking is limited. Ocean Gate in Bayville is a very good alternative. http://www.oceangateyb.com/ This is located at the mouth of the Toms River on the South Shore.
Based on the huge response, I think I am going to try and get the details for this event nailed down soon so I can start to see the types of boats that are going to register.
I am also of the belief that we will have 2 courses. A shorter course for 16ft - 23ft and a longer course for 24ft - 28ft.
And yes - you WILL BE a Pace Boat and I will wear a Cape...but the tights are OUT!

It was a 28 Skater.....but, alas, it has found a new home.
On the other hand...there is still some really neat stuff in the T2x cave......
