New 650 EFI from Young Performance

do you think the torque will go up at all with 555 cuci ? that looks great now

I really don't expect it to increase an appreciable amount with only a bore change. It will probably come up about 15-18 ft lbs just because of the increase in cubic inches. Now. it could be made to make more torque with some changes. The boat that it is going in is a fairly light, single engine boat that doesn't need gobs of torque. If it were for a heavier boat, I would have changed a few things. Thanks,
Eddie.

WOW!!! Looks great as usual Eddie! Keep up the great work.

Thanks buddy. How have you been? Haven't heard from you in a while. Keep in touch.

my 500/502 efi's are at 670 lbs of tq with afr 325's..best head out there in my opinion

This is the first time I used them and I was impressed. I will definitely be using them again. I would like to use them on a combo that I do on a regular basis to have a good comparison.

Eddy, they look sweet. Almost a shame to let those breathers puke yukky schmegma all over the valve covers no? Needs a puke tank set up to keep em perty.

Nice numbers BTW.

I really don't get anything out of the breathers. Thanks, Eddie.

and that's the key, lots of people just want to make big power, design it for the boat. on mine, we went with the 325's and although some said they were too big for a 502, they flow great and compression is 8.8/1. I run best on 87 octane, which is available everywhere, wont hurt to run 89 in it, but make more hp on 87. It just makes it turn key enjoyable.

You have to build it for the boat. Thats why I do not keep any assembled engines laying around. Everyone is just a little different, depending on what the customer needs. For example, big power numbers with no torque will not do any good in a big, heavy boat.

The engine is going in a Velocity 260. I have done quite a bit of rigging on the boat to get it ready for the engine. Here are a few pics of before, during and after. I had to fill 94 holes in the engine compartment for stuff that has been moved or eliminated. Enjoy

Yeah, he doesn't go with me very much. My regular co pilot bailed on me. I needed someone to help with the wideband and he was available.:sifone:

I ran a Hydromotive P4X and it did not like it. I only pushed it to the high 80's until it got completely undrivable. It was lifting the stern and blowing the entire boat out of the water. It was also too small at 30". It should run high 90's with the right prop. I don't think it will make 100, unless it really responds well to the right prop. We'll see. Thanks, Eddie.
