Legendary offshore racer David Scott has turned his attention to competing in the Southern Kingfish Association's 2010 season. The only thing missing was the boat.

After taking his test ride in Key West he was very impressed by the performance and fishing capabilities of the all new Nor-Tech 390 Sport Center Console. With it's combination of triple 300 Verados pushing the boat over 70 MPH and outstanding ride, we're quite confident this new boat is up to the challenge.

Heading up the team is Captain Robert Allen of Key West. Nor-Tech's Director of Marketing and fishing enthusiast Terry Sobo will also join the team.
Look for them at the January 22nd kick off in Key West.

Alec! Alec! We can do this! Just need a few rod holders and we can have the Serious offshore fishing team! Maybe we can finally catch something other than Tuna :sifone::sifone:

You don't have to get up early if you do what I do. Just leave Irish Kevins after clsoing time and then hop right on the boat.

Actually its a perfect time to bring up how a 4 engine boat cant keep up with a 3 engine boat.:sifone::sifone:

LOL. Actually thats how I used to do it when my dad would guilt me into going with him Terry. Straight from the bar to the dock. Man that did hurt a bit later that night tho

that is cool and being that was a Fountain dominated tour it will be cool to show some alternatives........Fishing is good but "catching" is better! :D

Back from KW. Special thanks to Dave Scott, Nauti-Marine and Budweiser for the sponsorship.
The boat ran great. Although this particular boat is not the ultimate SKA tourney set up it performed and fished better than any of the hard core guys ever expected.
On Sat. we ran to the "secret spot" out 77 miles to the Dry Tortugas. After getting out in front of all but one boat (a 36 Invincible with trip 350 Vrods) we pulled back to 50 MPH for the ride out there. It was fairly calm 2-3's with an occasional 4 thrown in.We were the second boat to the spot. After 1/2 hour about 20 other boats arrived. Later moved on to another spot and boated two nice Kings. Our biggest was 31lbs but that put us in the middle of the pack. SKA winner is based on the single biggest fish.
Sunday AM brought us 25mph SE winds and seas 4-7 beyond the reef. This time we held back and let a number of boats get ahead. We ran out about 15 miles and passed everyone that was heading that way. The other boats were suprised to see us go by. We were the only boat out there for a while before some others arrived. After and hour of rolling in waves as high as the T-top our lead guy was getting a little on the sickly side so we headed into the gulf. Boated 3 nice Kings there, 2 of which were also 31 lbs.
Anyway it was great to get the boat in front of a group that didn't know that much about us. After this weekend we had them talking.
