We get plenty of snow & ice in the off season. Usually a great time for shooting the surfers. They get a great swell in the winter storms.

Have you had any issues with it ?

Since June, No problems with it. I just sent it in due to some spots on the sensor, Canon Cleaned and did annual tune-up. returned free of charge.
Canon tech was great to deal with.
Very pleased with both the 1D and 40D.

Your serial number is proably way beyond the recall then...

Mine was recalled for the focusing issues.

Sent out on a Monday and had it back by Friday. I don't think it is fixed.
I was completely convinced this week when I had my center point locked in on a flying sea gull that I was panning. I took the shot and reviewed it. Center point showed I was dead on with the gull. Camera locked in on the background and the gull, needless to say was way out of focus...

Also tried panning and shooting my dogs. I don't think one shot of them came out any decent. Again locking in on everything but the subject I am shooting...

I even tried CF 3 #8 / Option 1 & 2. No difference...

His long, endless displays of awesome pics. His clean, cool watermarks that appear as stickers on the boat.

I just wish I had my camera's here, there are some hawks that are in the area and they perch themselselves in some cool places. The sunset's here are pretty spectacular as well. as is some of the architecture. and all the AK-47's, and 50 cal truck mounted machine guns as well. Saturday thru wednesday is their work week, everyday MIGS fly over in formation, which would make for some really cool pics. Hope I will be some where that is more picture friendly!! I miss sharing my adventures!

Of course I miss my G/F, and my friends. It does suck not being able to add to the media section. I enjoy using it for what it was intended for.

Thanks for the thoughts Jimmy, have a safe race in Biloxi. wish I could be there. say Hi to Georgeand Angie, as well as the rest of the OSS family.

Tim, I cringe when I read your stories about problems with the 1D. I know how much a 1D cost so that must make you sick having trouble with it. Anyway, sounds like it might be right now... I hope so.

Yeah I was sick. I would find my Rebel XT getting better shots than the Pro Model 1D Mark III. I knew something had to wrong with it. :ack2:

Only 6 weeks to go until I get to shoot boats again ! :26:
