Grand haven go fast...

So I'm out here in Grand Haven cruising in the Cary 50 and looking for a good race boat to play with and THERE ARE NONE! whats up with that? Did the local law enforcement run all of you out of the Offshore performance boating capital of Michigan?????? Or is everyone affraid to get beat by a Cary 50?????

Steve, he is playing games! He nailed rick s (cary 45) for dealer numbers and had him leave the water saturday. New law says you must sell 6 boats per year, blah blah blah.

Jeff said they didn't see them out and usually do. I guess now we know why...

How could they prove they didn't sell 6 boats per year?

Eagle One was down from Muskegon and Jeff said he had to race him for like 10 miles or something to beat him.....

a hand full of hot rods were down in toledo/sandusky this past weekend. we got out late on saturday for a little while. yesterday we went out in the lake and the waves were great. saw a cool little 20' cig in the channel yesterday also.i think there are alot performance boats still around. here's a little list that comes to mind.
4- top guns
36 apache
your cary 50
34' and 41' sabre
43 nor tech
40' and 50' hustlers
3 or 4 38'-42' fountains
38' baja
45 donzi
todds 28 advantage
a few 34 scrabs
2 or 3 formula's

I wish I had a video of the 2 Cary's racing I bet we both used 100 gallons of fuel as the boats are real close in speed and we went from south of Grand Haven to about half way to Muskegon at full throttle. that was the hardest I've run the old girl.

I keep hearing about the law picking on boats for little things and that is driving away alot of money spending boaters.....

They asked him how many he sold anually and he said he did not sell anything this year or last (bad economy). Then officer annoying told him of the laws and told him to return his boat to the slip. He just purchased the new registration sticker this year...so either way he paid the state.

He has to go to court this week so we will see how it turns out.

Did the 20 have red sides with a white deck? If so it is CJ's new project boat.

todd it was red and white. i didn't notice cj in it, was looking at the boat. sheri and i saw one by the cottage a couple of weeks ago that was called left handed cigarette. that was also a 20'. are they the same boat??

Been real good! we were out Friday-sunday, what a great week end. I think I burned 400+ gallons of premium, the lake was pretty flat so we just kept cruzin.....

Jeff definitely has a lot more patience than I do when it comes to working on engines.......


4 engines, 4 drives, 4 transmissions, etc, etc, .......


But only 1 power steering unit......:ack2:


I think there are a couple spots without chrome....
