:sifone::sifone: I had at least six of those just this year!!!

It all started in Febuary when this jackazz named Chris convinced me that it would be fun to run from Fort Liquordale to Miami at night in 6 footers and then on to Islamorada the next morning in the backseat of a Gladiator. That back seat was a piece of plywood that was covered by vinyl....:ack2::boxing_smiley::moon::banghead::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I'll take an XL. Bring it this weekend!!:sifone:

We even met the actual Joe Offshore that weekend. He owned many offshore, including THREE Apache 47's, including Cold War. But he'd flown down on his helicopter that weekend. His boats were coming the next day. The best part- the guy couldn't even figure out how to operate his barstool.

By the way, the run outside a couple mornings later made that night run look like a riverboat cruise.

Any Active Thunder story running 75 in 6-9 footers......... :lurk5:

Any Apache story as long as hurricane winds/waves are involved and the story works better when the boat in the story is currently unrigged/in total disrepair and still asking 150K...... :sifone:

Any Triple Digits Story with 650HP running through an Alpha drive blowing Outerlimits/Fountains/Cigarettes away.......

Any Gino vs. Pyburn thread.....:boxing_smiley:

Any Cat Killer story spun by Fountain media........

Yeah, all of that!!!!!!:biggrinjester:

1) 34 Powerquest pulled up to City Dock last spring, could not get boat docked, got his line and pulled him in, dam mechanic dropped the lower and installed the cables backwards, I stopped and then turned back and told him his props were reversed.OPPS!
2) Sheriff patrol asked me to tow 19ft Four Winds back to the ramp from State Park, Prop problems, he put the anchor of the front, drank his case of beer, started it and put it in gear, forgot he had a anchor down and tried to head out, ran the anchor line thru prop and stuck the chain into prop, spun the anchor right off,

This will be a short series of stories about the man I like to call Joe Offshore..

Guy show's up at my shop and tells me he is looking at a 25 eliminator eagle with a 6 drive and no power. Asks me what I think, I tell him don't buy it. So he buys it.. Wants to put in his blown small block with 700" lift cam that's half filled with concrete and makes "1000hp" :) with edelbrock heads.... I tell him if he thinks he can put that motor in his truck and drive down to Cali to pick up the boat and tow it back then it'll be perfect for his boat :sifone:

my post from another thread....

Dateline: Washington N.C. 15:50 15, September 2009. AP wire, for immediate distribution.

A New Jersey resident, claiming to be in the environmental services industry (though the only evidence of employment lists him as a garbageman) has just purchased the assets of Fountain Powerboats. He plans to continue operations, while changing the name to "Steczerette". When asked what interested him in the Fountain operation, he replied "Every boat has a FREAK"! He was than informed that Fountain powerboats have 'Beaks' not 'Freaks'. Mr. Stecz than began to cry, realizing the error of his purchase and offered to sell/trade his new company to one Mike Fiore for the sum of two (2) warm Miller Lites and a half (1/2) eaten baloney sandwich. At this time a dwarf in a black jump suit, tentatively ID'd as "MC Reggie" (presumed to be a rap star due to the black jumpsuit, incoherent tirades and extensive gold jewelry) became rather upset. MC Reggie then started a fist fight, but was only successful at hitting people in the knee area.

In related news, a Mercedes apparently owned buy "PETA" members, was seen running down a cat killer (presumed to be part of MC Reggie's posse) and fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed.

JayL13 bought an Apache!!!!
:lurk5:
Send me my shirt:sifone:

That was the guy that bought a running 41 Apache, ran it 3-4 times and loved it, therefore loved to post about it then took it apart to restore only for it to never see water again?

What is the current status of that guy/boat?

what are you giong to do about a tie, because i,m willing to bet when everyone read the first post on this JOE OFFSHORE guy we ALL thought of the same guy? you know the one relitively new to offshore, he,s the one that youstood next to at phyicals and said he going to hold it wide open thru 5 footers, then got lapped twicE ( in previous post) has THE ANSWER to every problem on every thread, hell i won.t even say, and he will chime in and take the credit himself, thinking JOE OFFSHORE is going to be someone famous. lol heres the bait---- how long will it take its 9.05 am fri???

Sarasota poker run a few years back,I think it was an o/l at the ramp. Backed boat in fired it up and got out. Unhooked front strap and told wife ok, back it off. Wife puts it in reverse and it goes forward. He starts yelling and so on, telling her more gas! hits the throttles and it still goes forward bending winch support on trailer. I suggested his props might be on backwards. He gave me one of those looks and said hes not new to boating. OK, Ill just shut up. He jumped in the water to check that he took off the back straps, which he did. After about 20 mins of checking everything out including linkage adjustments he pulled boat back out of the water to put his props on the right way!
While he was doing this I walked past on my way to car and politely told him "Being your not new to boating you should check and make sure sombody didnt switch your outdrives because props must be right!" (IF looks could kill)
Wife did all she could to keep from laughing but she did!

I forgot about that!

He had started SO many threads that were all talking about how great his boat ran & looked, and how he couldn't believe so many people had passed on it before him. He was even acting almost arrogant toward other peoples' stuff toward the end. His boat ran for roughly a month I remember, then blew an engine... :leaving:

He still occasionally posts in the Apache section of OSO, because he started the thread calling the 41 Legend a "fake Apache" in the title. I seriously don't think his boat has ran since it broke over a year ago, so people jumped on him pretty quick for disrespecting someone elses' boat.
