Cig 28 SS project

Yep....That was my boat....280T Volvo Drives with speedmaster lowers.

I had 2 more 28 SS's after that one...... Great Boats. :driving:

LS

Those drives were few and far between. The "T" was rare but the speedmasters were even harder to find. They also blew apart on a regular basis with any kind of horsepower.

Borrow a couple of Bobcats outboards and duct tape them to the back. Steer with an oar for a rudder, should be no problem....

the scarey thing is that if he washed it and used a little black spray paint he could probably clear 10k on ebay....

Any parts available now?

For the uppers yes. fot the lowers, I doubt it because when they were making them (70's) you couldnt get parts for them. If you follow the link up a few posts and go to post #38 Lucky Strike said he still had a speedmaster in stock from it. That was in Dec of 06 so he should still have it (LOL)

the fool turned down my exploder....I'm thinking he would have been the one comming out ahead if he had taken the deal...

he just emailed me back..he wan't 5k for it..it was all I could do to not email him back and tell him to stop smoking crack......

Those 500 caddy's are badass mills. I dropped one in an old 3/4 international I used to have. If I remember correctly they are 425hp 550ft/lbs stock and weigh about the same as a small block chevy if you get rid of the intake for an aluminum one.
