Yes, many memories.

One thing I must make clear, that is a BULLET BOAT INC boat and is not one of my boats.

It seems lately many people have been using my forum screen name in advertising their boats for sale. Sharkey Marine is not even a business.

Last year someone did the same thing advertising a boat that was built by Mini Powerboats Inc. but yet they called it by my name with no mention of the actual manufacturer.

Only thing I see is these people are using my name to perhaps coax people into thinking I built the boats.

My company Sharkey Boats Inc was not formed until 1988.

Prefix on the HIN is SHR

Bullet Boats Inc Prefix on the HIN is BUL

In regards to your ads.

I would appreciate it if you would remove the name Sharkey from your ads. It seems you are misleading potential buyers that I may have personally built the boat.

The SHARKEY BOATS INC was not formed until 1988.

The SHARKEY MARINE is nothing more than a screen name on message forums and the name of my informational website for hi-performance boats.

Stick to calling the boat you have for what it is, a BULLET BOAT INC. boat.

I already had a potential buyer contact me last month in regards to the validity of the ad.

I set him straight and gave him my history.

Obviously he did not buy your boat perhaps because he felt he was being fooled by your ad.

So I no longer have to answer people's questions regarding your ad and you don't look like a fool using my name to sell your boat, I ask you to remove any attachment of my name to your ads.

If not, perhaps I deserve a commission on your sale?

An update:

After asking the seller PETE to remove my name from his ad, his goes and edits it.

Now utilizing my name even more.

Addition to the ad:
(not to be confused as a sharkeys marine...for some reason it seems to offend people). Matter of fact for all of you that dont know heres a little info

boats. This info was obtained from Mr. Tim Sharkey himself. Please do not contact him about this vessel because he is not involved with the sale or building of this fine boat and also doesnt seem to know much about this particular one as I have contacted him in the past about this boat and got no information what so ever from him about it..
Please ask me any ?'s regarding this and I will help you as much as I can. I currently own 2 and have had others.

Is this about selling a boat or what ?

It seems there is more talk about me than the actual boat...


What is wrong with just listing a boat like this:

This is THE ORIGINAL bullet 130 by bullet boats inc. Its 13' long and has a 70 hp yamaha outboard. Boat is really clean for its age. New transom, gelcoat, bilge pump, helm, wiring, bench seat. gas tank, battery, helm and steering cables. Also has a manual Bobs Jack Plate on it.

Why must he throw my name in it?

He emails me a year ago this month telling me he had a Bullet For Sale.
About the same time he asked if I was interested in restoring his Bullet.
I kindly explained I was no longer in the fiberglass business and referred him to a reputable company in Point Pleasant.

He sends a message tonight I referred him to know one at all.

So I sent the copy of the replying email from last year with the referral and have not heard back from him.

Should Craigslist remove this ad ? It is obvious now that he is using my name for a reason.

I look at it this way.

It would be like a Motion owner trying to sell his boat and calling it a SKATER in his ad.... :ack2:

I'd like to know who did the restoration.

Sounds to me it needed a complete make over...

He states in the ad, "New transom, gelcoat," but I saw pics from a potential buyer and the seller commented in an email the gel was faded and needed rubbing out. So I guess it is not as clean as he describes... It is the original 1984 gelcoat on the exterior.

All kidding aside. I never opened that email. If I did I would have used them. If anyone knows these boats it would be you. I would have trusted them and used them 110%. Sorry for the confusion. Just out of curiousity is that bullet that I have close to what you produced. I have a 1984 and a 1985, but from what your saying I never had one that you made if you made them from 1988-1991. I know theres a few out there but they are far and few. Ill delete the ad are at least every Sharkey reference. Enjoy your weekend.
By the way. Is it true that your mold of the Bullet is in the one of the Carolinas being reproduced?
