We have Doctor in my town that has been treating people for over 30 years. My Dad was seeing him until he lost his leg, long story short I think its partly the docs fault, I could go on and on about this doc. My dad just started going back to see him. My Dad was taking lexapro for depression and was doing great. now that hes seeing this doc again the doc took him off of it and hes very depressed. I called the doc when he quit taking the med 3 weeks ago. the doc said he would take care of it, then he just took him off of it. This doc is killing people in my town. My Dad is 85 years old and thinks this man is God. I want to see this doc put out of busines. So I can get my dad to go somewhere else. And the doc does'nt hurt anyone else. Sorry for the very poor spelling etc. Any body have a clue what to do?:(

Convince your ad that this man is not God and talk him into seeing some one else.

I guess you could also call the medical board and report him or file a omplaint and see if the can start an investigation.

Just my thoughts.

I just back from getting my haircut from a Lady that was seeing this doc. she went to him several times complaining of a problem in her stomach. he prescribed her valum. she just got out of the hospital and is now wearing a bag.:(

Unfortunately, the only way is to have him actually kill the wrong person and get sued/investigated.

Those medical boards are populated with doctors, just as attorneys, CPA's and so on police themselves. They all envision the day when they'll be called into question. It takes something dramatic to get action.

Believe it or not, most are driven out by escalating malpractice insurance costs- insurers charge more as the practitioner ages. There's a good chance your guy is working without a net- which may be legal grounds for action in your state.

document, document, document some more, present to the state board with documentation from the bag lady etc...

Documentation. if you present a state board with enough evidence, they will act, as they realize that should something happen again they will go down with the ship for failure to act.

don,t get your undies twisted but medical incompetence is wide spread its up to you to navigate good doc bad doc i walked out on many with my dad who had Parkinson's they really don,t like it when you call their bluff. i did find great doctors BUT looking back after a very long nasty hospice what on earth did i manage to do?(use the good old saying "i would not let you touch my dog" that ruffles there feathers)

Had a doctor in saint Marys do the same thing to my mom,Dad, both uncles and cousin...then he had the nerve to call the day we buried her... I wasn't nice.

Well I guess it depends how far you want to go with this. Tomorrow I'm going to see the pharmacist who knows a lot more than I do. rember this could happen to anyone. Ive have decided to pursue this, and go after this *****.

fo the medical board, you need to demonstrate a pattern of incompetence and or negligance. for a lawsuit you must be able to prove negligance (such as failure to act) and you must also prove harm/actual damages.

prepare for a very long frustrating road doc's protect their own its much quicker if they are using drugs or DWI or some kind of substance abuse then they will pull their license. one of the stats is medical mistakes kill more folks than car accidents and smoking combined its scary out there it even worse with all the foreign doctors my dad had his stomach out in kissimee fl i was shocked at how unfriendly the Indian docs were ice cold and rude very few nurses spoke English but there were a few extremely good nurses too i don,t think many people realize how bad out health care system is it is really run by the drug companies

Actually, uninsured and reduced payments by the insurance companies play a big part as well as incredibly high liability ins. the hospitals have had to cut back on staffing, equipment etc. not to mention the fact there is a major shortage of available nurses. the problem is getting worse not better. There are a lot of foriegn doctors because 1. the cost of the education is prohibitivly expensive and 2. malpractice insurance rates have significantly cut the doctors income. when you have a hospital staff that is run ragged constantly, understaffed and generaly abused mistakes are going to happen. The nursing shortage not being helped by the 'burn out' rate from and people leaving the field either. Pray you never end up in a nursing home, the situation is worse and going down hill fast.

A lot of Pharms know more than the docs on the drug end of it. Docs prescribe what they get kickbacks on.
