Best of luck Mr. Blue Oval.
Sad so much history going away.
Don't miss the stresses and b.s. of business too much.
Oh, btw, those lost vehicles are in boxcars somewhere and headed someplace :)

Good morning ☀️. My attempt to sweat in a new isolation valve for the house didn’t go so good yesterday. 2 weepers. And yes the pipe is new, properly cleaned, fluxed and all that stuff. Solder flowed great but something obviously went wrong.

Mornin! :coffee: 🌴🌴

Sharkbites? or Pex...I'd rather go Pex.

My Neigbor had Me clean up His old Dressers and make Them ready to Paint...I was cleaning 20 years of Nicotine off of Them..

They are made of Pressboard....I suggested just replace Them...He was anxious to try out His new Paint Sprayer System.....Anyway...

6 hrs Labor and some pretty expensive paint later..We threw Them away...🤣

Sounds familiar.
I NEVER plan on soldering going quick and easy.
NEVER.
If it does, it's just a bonus.
I learned to sweat copper when I was about 22 and bought a house with plugged up galvanized and said screw it and replumbed the entire house. My sawzall is also exactly that old. Lol. I think I use a lot of flux, but my failure rate is low. So on the rare occasions I do it, I still use a lot of flux. I still have a scar the size of a dime on the top of a finger from learning about sweating overhead. Almost 40 years later.
