That's great news, but where does that leave the F4SA which was just intergrated with Powerboat P1? 
Powerboat P1:
Powerboat P1 Management Ltd relaunched the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Association (F4SA) with its new identity, the SuperStock Championship, at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show on Friday 8 January 2010 at ExCeL London.
The integration of the SuperStock Championship into the existing Powerboat P1 structure in 2010 will see the two series racing together in the opening Grand Prix of the Sea in Split, Croatia on April 16-18.
Presented to the international media and boat show public, several pilots experienced their first taste as ambassadors for the newly-branded Powerboat P1 SuperStock Championship at the British marine industry’s showpiece event.
As an affordable and easily accessible form of motorsport, the F4SA has built up a strong fanbase during its 10-year existence under the stewardship of eight-time powerboating world champion, Steve Curtis MBE.

A schedule for 2011 is being outlined for the USA maybe with a first event as early as 2010 season end!!!

Last I checked, ALL Powerboat P1 Classes are overseas.
(w/one exception of what OSS adopted)SuperStock is now part of Powerboat P1.
Powerboat P1 is now looking to market their racing in the United States under Powerboat P1 USA. So far it has been announced that 3 Vee Bottom Classes would be in the States. From what I have read they are all inboards.
Meanwhile the SuperStock was "the world’s fastest growing offshore powerboat racing series" according to Powerboat P1 Chairman and CEO, Asif Rangoonwala.
Even if the Class varied upon the Hull Manufacturer.
Could you imagine 10 to 20 Superboats or 10 to 20 JOKER Powerboats with Merc 300's on them all running in the same Class ???
I wonder why it couldn't happen here in the future if it did so well overseas?

I think P-1 USA will campain differant classes ,,and it wouldn,t make sense to start a class and hope like hell someone shows up with a boat..

Once again, Gino was working with inboards and could not get the rigging costs down enough to make it affordable.
Outboards on the other hand I would think are more affordable to rig.
Perhaps P1 has the resources to bring the SuperStocks with them ? Perhaps Steve Curtis can chime in on this ?
