Ok here is the Skinny:

There is a bunch of snow out there.
The Lady wants to do some shoe work in the snow for running and cardio
Anyone out there use these new boys and what do you like.

Brands
Style
Binding, pro/cons

etc

Shoot some posts and lets get this started

I have MSR Denali Evo's and have the optional flotation tail. Cool thing is you can use them either way and it really makes them versatile, trust me its nice to be able to pull off the tail on not so deep snow. They have really good traction on steep stuff as well. I've had them in deep snow and they work pretty well. They make this in a classic model thats about $75 less and is a great recreational shoe

these are back country travel shoes and i believe they do make some specific to running.

I'm headed for Maine/New Hampshire in a few weeks with all my gear. (white Mountains)

keep an eye on steepandcheap.com they do new deal every twenty minutes or so. This time of year they do dollar specials for about thirty seconds at a time, missed out on a pair of $350 hiking shoes for a buck. Just saw a $250 Atlas E12 Elektra womens snow shoe on sale for $149. They had about 60 left when the deal timed out but they usually recur often. Might even want to try and contact them to see if the will honor the price. I but lots of stuff through this site.

Wait a minute....are we talking about SnowShoes like the Yukon guy on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer???? SURELY not!:willy_nilly:

Yeah what's up in a month?
I will bring my board.............

Update on prev post. The cedar bows worked really well for about 1/4 mile then the branches started to seperate at the "Y" or crotch of the branch and Pop. Seperated.
But they worked really well for a while!

If you get them please stay off the groomed X-country ski trails. The trails draw a lot of snowshoers and they destroy the groomed track.
