Abandoned van found in water in Dania Beach

A van that appeared to be unoccupied was found in the water near a boat ramp this morning in Dania Beach.

The van, located near Southwest 30th Avenue and 45th Street, had a boat attached, according to the Dania Beach Fire-Rescue Department. The van, found at around 6:30, is missing its motor.

A dive team is working to retrieve the vehicle.

You can almost hear the guy at the ramp overtelling the story......yeah that 84 Vandura had a Vette motor in it (as all owners of GM's 350 2 barrel motors love to say, yes sir same displacement as a Vette but not same motor!). ALL the neighborhood kids want that Vette motor.........

had a friend with an 86 Corvette and every old man he would run into would tell the "mine's got a Vette motor" or there must have been a screw-up at the factory routine. Tony just enjoyed hearing the B.S. but would still be aggravated in the end that the moron really thought he had a "Vette" motor in his pick-up, van or whatever sh!tbox he was driving.......

There are pics floating around with a new F250 Harley edition dumped in the Halifax boat ramp in Daytona. Very steep ramp and guy was unloading a 33 Scarab and backed down quick only for the boat to float and the truck to stay on the bottom!
