    1000 hp ???
    #1
What the most hrs ever gotten out of 1000hp. Is it unlikely to see 200hrs or are you luck to see 100hrs?? I know it depends how hard you are on them.. But on an average scale mostly cruising and moderate WOT. What can be had. Thanks Scott

I never pushed past 120 and that was with top end done at 90.

But mine were used hard. 200...never.

    100 is safe.
Never wanted to blow anything up in the very short boating season up here, or your whole season is pooched.

We're making quite a bit more than 1000 and usually get 160 to 180 hrs. At that point we freshen the valve train.

How long are you going on bottom-end refresh?

I've got about 250 hrs on bottom end of 830's and will proably do a full refresh this winter. I did the tops about 130 hrs.

    I don't run hard.

Brad Smith has 90 hours on these 1140s in a 36 Skater that has run 90% of their lives at 6500+ rpms. Has done nothing to them other than run the valves twice.

Good to see you here check300!

It is a 30 checkmate, single #6, with a big turbo motor. Bilge looks like the space shuttle.

One of the many fast gun lake guys.

    See you at hot boat!
