And where is it now? I drooled all over this thing for a long time while it was for sale a few years back with Phil. Thing is awesome!

Tank - I thought I remembered reading a bunch of talk about one boat that was sold as a 1997, but built in 1996??
Does this ring a bell or am I making this up??

The Cafe is in my boat house. It belongs to MRP357. It now has whipple 750s in it , new XR's, with all new Fine Line uplstory and every billet piece available. Also a new Myco. Reciently clear coated. It is excellently maintained and well loved.

Now my curiousity is piqued! I bought the boat in 2003 from Todd Fountain. Phil (who had just installed the HP500's and done some renovation work) was the broker. The S/N is CRTUSC02H495, which breaks down as CRT=Cigarette; USC=US production Cafe; 02= boat number 2; H4= built in August 1994; 95= 1995 model. I, like many who post here, always thought there was 1996 product built. If anyone has a "later" serial number, please post it!

I never realized Todd owned that boat.
I think you'll be hard pressed to find one newer. But Phil will know for sure.
You may just have the last one built. Love the boat by the way, and it sounds like you've taken it to the next level with her.

Wow! Attaching a picture on this forum is a pain in the a$$!
Anyway, here are the Whipples Zero Patience and I insralled on the HP500's.
They came with intercoolers and we were pleased at the completeness of their installation package. At installation we added a second set of sea strainers for the intercoolers. This second set draws water through the drive pickups; the engine cooling is now through a hull pickup and the main strainers.
We're still experimenting with props, but so far we got the boat from 72 to 81 MPH.

I Like the scoops in the last picture. MRP's 81 is a little on the conservative side. I have seen a little more.
