On the way out of town, we noticed this boat for sale.

Who's is/was it? Anyone know any history?

Odd to see the old in-line canopy's....

I think It,s an old ( Harry shearer or something like that ) boat .
Many have probably seen it hangin around vaca key back in the day .
    Could be wrong tho .

Myself and a young newbie looked at it for svl at the time ,( 2003) We Ended up going with a more patriotic hull in the end .

I remember seeing it run p-4 i think ,it was SQUIRRLEY.
It chine walked so bad it made the Lavey SVL look stable !

Again i could be wrong .

I made a mistake with this boat swapping out the pulse drive and going to the bravo. I was running a supercat 750 in it and worked and worked to get it to handle right. I blew that motor in Deerfield 06 spinning 7600RPM . I put in a 525EFI after that and messed around with drive heights. I was moving the drive around between 1/2 above and 2 below the bottom and the boat would just not handle. Later dropped it 4 below the bottom and it was like running on rails but scrubbed about 5mph off the top(89-90MPH). Took it to the worlds that year and after a huge cafuffle in the pits with tech claiming an illegal motor I ran 1 race in P3 and packed it in.

I raced my Phantom against that boat in 1999 in A-Class. It was a pretty stable boat with that set up.
I'd rather be on the boat with a drink on the rocks, than in the drink with my boat on the rocks.

The plan was to run SVL and the bravo was a requirement. The Pulse Drive was a much better handling drive on that particular boat.

Here's another pic while being painted. If the orgs ever allowed surface drives in the spec classes I would certainly go that route. This one.

It ran as "Frayed Knot" way back when and is a 30" Infinity.
