Just wanted to see if others are having recurring issues with the Verado FSM float switch. Had both mine replaced about 100 hrs/2 seasons ago with the then latest (Generation -3?) model. Had one die again on first "attempted" run of the season. Wondering if this is going to become routine maintenance.

Looked in my service manuals, not quite as simple as I'd normally tackle as a lot of stuff to remove just to get to the FSM, opening it to inplug the switch looks like it would be the easy part.

    Thanks - Greg

It is a very common issue especially on the first couple of years. They always to seem to go out initially between 75-100 hr then after that seems to be related to fuel quality. Had to replace the one on the 200 on the pontoon and it isnt that hard, just takes time to get everything off to get to it. Keep a spare!!!
