Spirit of Apache must be a great ride, but for some reason ,(maybe not trimmed right?) Ive never liked the boats attitude in that video. Why do you think its not flying straight there?

The boat was a 1991. In one of the documentary video's the owner (DeLatorre) told the story and said they put the hull back in the mold so I assume it wasn't re-hulled maybe just bulkheads etc.

Did Kramer, Aranow or McManus build the Enterprise for starfleet command ?
Captain Kirk told me it was Kramer but Spock got all uppity and said it was McManus.

Sean, while I agree the history is on the internet etc but what struck me as odd is McManus going on the record saying he designed/tooled the Apache 41' while Bob/Ben sucessfully raced and won championships. That's manipulating the truth, he's taking credit for things he did not personally do... He did not own Apache nor did he own USA, he was an employee of Don's and employees do what they're told to do on a daily basis and have no claim to fame when it comes to any design regardless of the work they did or did not do.

What McManus portrayed in the video clip is manipulating the truth... Don may have instructed Mark to build molds for the 41' but he didn't design anything, Don did. Don just couldn't build it because of his non-compete with Cig... At least "one" person is honest with themself where the boat/mold came from.....

Mark didn't come along with the molds to Apache, Ben later made him a sweetheart deal to come on board because Bob and Ben were out racing togehter and Bob started persuing other business interests on his own.
