We should all put 20 bucks into a Kitty.. 40 per boat....Pays out to the boat that gets F'd the worst in turn one first heat.
Gets paid after the race , Maybe at awards.. With a box of Kleenex.
It will be anybodies guess just how the cards will fall when we all dive in to the first turn. I only know one thing for sure ...Some one will be crying... and I hope its not George.

The first turn will be a little like Pot Luck. No telling what you might get.

Inside, outside, or in the middle. I don't think there is much difference on where you start at Biloxi.

As I recall you shot through the middle at the start like you were shot from a cannon.

It would have been cool to see video of that. I know we were maybe a 1 or 2 feet a part for what a mile or more. This year est 9 boats in a line, channel markers, 2 mile run to the corner, a slight left that could get one pinched into the seawall, Rain X, than a hard right. Yeah I am not sure were it will be safe? The course at Biloxi isn't necessarily won in the first corner.

Yea, tough call.. Long legs or quick jump?
By the way which race last year wasn't decided by turn one? I can't think of one?

05-11-2010 02:45 PMIf there ever was a course that shouldn't have a straight line start its Biloxi. There is no way that 10 boats can go down that straight with out pinching people off. Between the poll's and the wall and on coming traffic its a bad start for more than half the fleet. Lift you lose and stay in it and wreck into someone else. Those are your choices! If we all agreed to equally pay out the purse money and raced for bigger trophy's I would love to do a 2 x 2 start with 5 rows deep. I will even start in the last row to give the newer teams a better start and chance on there first race in there new boats. If we start straight line it will be over after the first turn. This course is all about speed period. There is a possibility of big water on the outside but hasn't been a factor in the past.
