10-25-2013 10:22 AMThat is a tough one. I have to believe, that overall, it's been an improvement for all species of whales more than a detriment. The younger generation should even be able to stop the Japanese and Chinese from whaling. I think a lot of that does come from watching whales in aquariums around the world.
Somewhere I have some old pics of Orcas all around by 19 Seaswirl up by San Juan Island way back.....Getting bad advice is unfortunate, taking bad advice is a Serious matter!!

Here are my initial thoughts.
I can't think of a reason to click on people's post to register my "dislike" that will then stick to both of us. If I disagree, I'd rather talk about it as a conversation, rather than a stamp of disapproval.
If the post is problematic, it can be reported discreetly.
I think that using dislikes could stifle diversity of opinion and have a chilling effect on posting. A few unexplained "dislikes" and a new member could turn lurker, for example.

10-25-2013 01:01 PMWe lost power, running on the generator right now. Snow on the trees that haven't lost their leaves yet broke down a bunch of them.....

Hi Ho's!!!! One of the whales now at SeaWorld Orlando was originally in Victoria, BC. The Victoria place I went to it a few times and it was a sad place. Basically a swimming pool with 3 killer whales in it. Vancouver Aquarium had some slightly nicer pool tank with I think 4 whales. The last of them died in 96 and they didn't replace them. Victoria shut down after the whale now in Orlando killed a trainer. That whale has attacked and killed 3 people. I've also seen them in the wild, house growing up was on a beach here and with boat could easily go out and see them. I like them in the wild better.

Oh yeah, isn't it nice to have a generator when the power goes out? Second best feature of my house is the built in generator. Yesterday was so nice it was jeans and t-shirt. Today its foggy and cold.

I just went through the books and records for the 944 I just bought. The original owner purchased it on April 23 1987 in Vancouver. Same dealer my Dad bought my Mothers Jaguar. I went with him to pick it up. I wanted a 944 so drooled over them in the showroom. We purchased the Jag on the 22nd in 1987. I know the date because it was my parents anniversary. Reason for the Jaguar. Regardless I probably drooled over the car that is now in my driveway.
